maddogg360 got it.Express Gate is probably the closest you are going to come to that, turn the PC on and you can access your files/net/IM etc in about 5 seconds.

I think that would be awesome, I need that, I am always in a rush and hate waiting for my system to boot up to put some images or video files on my flash drive before I have to run out.I need that.

I believe Asus has something like what you're talking about, but I believe there product ofers Skype and a few other programs, but I don't know if it has any kind of file manager which you talk about.

4-8 MP capable cameras should be fine.

OH OH, Linux OnChip!!I've heard of that before, but don't know where to get it.I think it comes with an addon card or something, it boots in 1 sec after the bios, giving you tons of options.

Like the others said and the asus thing, go with that. Linux will be great, but if the pc is shutdown incorrectly (eg. blackout, lockup requiring reset/blackout and power on to restore) will DENY access to NTFS partitions.I know this because I have linux.Linux on a 4GB, 8GB, 12GB or 20GB MicroDrive would be reliable. Unlimited write/erase cycles (because it's a hard disk).Just don't drop it TOO much.

If you use Fedora on a usb stick, you can save files just like you were using the computer normally, and the files will be on the usb stick. But it boots up in about a minute.
